An eMail alias is an email address that does not
actually have a mail box or account setup
for it. Instead, all emails sent to an alias are
re-directed to another existing email address.
Example: An alias
"Sales" could be setup so that any eMail sent to
"Sales@YourDomain.com" could be delivered to
whoever handles incoming sales orders for your
company without that person having to check two
different email accounts.
